We are looking for sponsors for 2009 race.

On Saturday September 26 2009, the 2nd annual 5K run will be held in memory of John D. Hawkes, who passed away on January 30, 2008, from Parkinson’s disease. As family and friends we are joined together to organize this event to Find Freedom by Finding a Cure. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Utah chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association. (APDA)

We are looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor of this event. This can take place through a financial or product donation. Product donations will be used for either race packets (200-250 participants) or for our raffle immediately following the race. If you know of anyone who would be interested in sponsoring please forward the following information.

The levels of sponsorship are:
Gold- $250.00 or more. Allows for business Logo on the event T-Shirt, business banner displayed at the race finish line, advertisement flyer in race packet, and a listing in the event recognition letter.
Silver- $101.00-$249.00 Allows for business listing on event T-shirt, advertisement flyer in race packet, and a listing in the event recognition letter.
Bronze- $100.00 or less Allows for advertisement flyer in race packet, and listing in the event recognition letter.

Gold and Silver sponsorships a due no later then September 11, 2009 to have your business information included on the race T-shirts and race packets.

With your contribution we will be able to advertise and fund the costs of the event including permits, insurance, t-shirts, prizes for top finishers, and we will have food and beverages available for all race participants.

The organizers of the event do not have a non profit tax I.D. # due to time constraints. After all the overhead costs of the event are covered all the remaining proceeds will be donated to the Utah chapter of the APDA. A tax deductible donation, may be contributed directly to the APDA @ www.utahapda.org tax # 131962771. Announcing the Second Annual John D. Hawkes 5K

The planning is underway for Second Annual 5k. Due to the closing of the East Millcreek Rec. Center we are working on securing Liberty Park on September 26, 2009.

Online registration will be availible online as well as registration the day of the event beginning at 7 am.
